THE PANDEMIC PERIOD CHANGED OUR LIVES!
The last one and a half years have driven us through unexpected experiences, most of them taking our breath away, placing us in unbelievable situations that we never thought we could be. This virus changed everything, kept our relatives and friends away from us, we spent most of our celebrations only with some of our family members, we lost our daily contact with nature, and the level of socialization was close to zero.
We lost family members, friends, we were shocked to find out about some people who died as we never thought they would not be able to make it, we became scared of hugging close people or even shaking their hands…
We have started to work from home, and that brought us also a unique experience. From a different perspective, some good things came out of this experience too. The main one was that we proved we could beat this virus; we proved we could control things, but mainly, in the end, we proved we can be successful. In our area, things were not so different from any other place, and no matter if we worked from home, the team stood together. Well, we could afford to work dressed in shorts and T-shirts and that not only on Friday, but any other day :). Now, after taking the vaccine, we are back in the office and we do enjoy being together again. It is nice to communicate directly and spend all office hours with the entire team.
Another thing which this pandemic period teaches us was to look different and to appreciate every moment of our life. I know, life is not only milk and honey as every morning we wake up with a secret and an innocent desire for a new fantastic day, with high hopes that something good will finally happen’ in our lives and all the bad things from our yesterday or past experiences will disappear.
Yes, we deserve a perfect life, like a perfect glove, like the undoubtful smell of a rose, or as the absolute blue of the blue sky, without any clouds; this is what our lives have to be. Driven by the famous thief – THE TIME – we start the day excited, with these secret thoughts inside, awaiting „that moment“ to come. However, then we realize that we woke up with a headache or that the car does not function, or the kids are crying, or our neighbour is making a big noise early in the morning or there is no coffee in the coffee machine, or our partner is upset with us or, or, or, or… so our earlier expectations are not happening anymore and we are still anchored in the same problems we were anchored yesterday or every other day, feeling so empty inside, questioning ourselves why so many problems surround us and where did we go wrong? We find no immediate answer, and the day follows the exact mechanism of the minutes and seconds passing by like any other day. We should have been getting used to these kinds of problems.
BUT SUN IS ALWAYS RISING BACK IN THE BLUE SKY AND IS STILL SMILING ON US!
But then we recall… wait, wait a minute, Sunday we woke up a bit different than every other day, we have enjoyed staying late in bed, we have enjoyed the warmth of the bedding and the tasty coffee which our partner placed on our nightstand. That pleasant and robust smell of hot coffee and that laziness that kept us in bed gave us a good feeling. No doubt that we can get used to that feeling. It was excellent, and the sun caressed us with its rays. So there were also good moments in life, there were good mornings as well, and if we go back, we can recall other good moments as well! Our first love, those nice trips, those awards, the kids, the family, the celebrations, yeah, celebrations, the gifts we received, see, it was not too bad. headache seems to diminish, we can have tea instead of a coffee, the kids are now playing and smiling, the neighbor finished up his work, we can use a taxi, or if the weather is nice, we can even use our bicycles. See, it is all a matter of how we read the day and which solutions we have because everything has a solution, maybe not immediately, but there will always be a solution to our problems.
Time is the only problem we will not be able to solve. We cannot simply stop the time, but we can use it; we can enjoy life every second or millisecond of our time. The question is: „HOW?“ Do we want to live exactly as we lived every day of our life till this very moment? Or we want to improve the quality of our lives? I am not a guru or someone who can tell you exactly how to live your own life, but if you allow me to do that, I can suggest some tips that improved my and others’ lives.
1. Remember to say thank you for every new day!
2. Remember all the good things that happened in your lives; the smile of your baby, the smile of your partner, the smile of your family members, the smile of the people around you.
3. Remember that you have a roof over your head and things and assets you achieved.
4. Remember the last funny moment, how long you laugh, how funny that experience was.
5. Remember your favorite song, that sound which relaxed you and made you feel good.
6. Remember your last beautiful holiday.
You see, your day already improved, you are smiling, thinking about those beautiful moments in your lives, about people who made you feel good.
Well, without saying big words, as you can see, your day already changed so the only thing you have to do now is to organize your day so you will be able to reach your targets.
Good luck and live lively every second of your life!
